Westland Opens New Dog Park on Central City Parkway
A new off-leash dog park is officially open, featuring separate areas for large and small dogs, water stations, and benches.
After months of planning and community input, the City of Westland has officially opened its newest dog park on Central City Parkway. The park features two separate fenced areas for large and small breeds, multiple water stations, waste bag dispensers, and shaded bench seating for owners.
The park is open daily from 7am to 9pm and is free to use for all Westland residents. Dogs must be licensed and up to date on vaccinations. Leashes are required outside of the fenced areas.
"This has been one of our most requested community amenities," said Mayor Bill Wild. "We're proud to offer this space for families and their four-legged companions."
