Ford Road Resurfacing Project Begins April 7

The Westland Department of Public Works has announced a major resurfacing project along Ford Road between Merriman Road and Wayne Road, scheduled to begin on April 7, 2026. Work will take place Monday through Friday from 7am to 5pm. Expect single-lane alternating traffic and occasional brief closures during peak work hours. Local access to businesses will be maintained throughout the project. The project is expected to be completed by late May, weather permitting.
